We offer a free in-store estimate. After that we'll send your items to our experts for a final evaluation before we make an offer. Depending on your location, this can take a few business days. Our jewellers are based in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador.

Do you offer cash?

We do not pay out in cash for security reasons. If you decide to sell, we will write you a cheque or send an EMT for the scrap value of your jewellery. If you choose to take it as an in-store credit instead, we'll throw in an extra 30% value on top of our offer.

How do I know if what I have is real gold?

If you are checking at home, look for official stamps like "10K" or "14K".  When in doubt, bring it in and we can check for you!

Do you buy sterling silver?

We now purchase gold and sterling silver jewellery. Bring in your jewellery for a free, no-obligation offer based on today's market value.

What types of gold and silver items do you accept?

We buy a wide variety of gold, silver, and platinum items, regardless of their condition:

  • Jewellery: Rings, necklaces, bracelets, chains, earrings (including single or mismatched earrings), pendants, and charms.
  • Damaged & Scrap Pieces: Broken chains, bent rings, tangled jewellery, and scrap pieces—condition does not affect precious metal value.
  • Bullion & Coins: Gold and silver coins, bars, and rounds.
  • Sterling Silver Items: Sterling silver jewellery, flatware, and hollowware (stamped .925 or Sterling).
  • Dental Gold: Crowns, bridges, and other dental gold scrap.

Note: We do not buy costume jewellery, gold-plated, gold-filled, or silver-plated items.

Do you pay more for designer or antique pieces, or only the melt value?

No, we purchase items based solely on the weight and purity of the precious metal. We do not pay premiums for designer brands, antique value, or craftsmanship; our offers reflect the intrinsic value of the gold or silver based on current market rates. If you have a piece you feel holds higher collectible or resale value as a finished piece of jewellery, you may want to consider selling it through a private or specialty marketplace instead.

What happens to gemstones or diamonds set in my jewellery?

Offers are calculated based strictly on the precious metal weight, meaning diamonds and gemstones are deducted during valuation. However, options are available depending on the size and type of stones:

  • Significant Diamonds: For larger, significant diamonds, pieces can be forwarded to an in-house gemologist for a thorough evaluation. If it is determined to be a stone we are interested in purchasing, an additional amount will be factored into the overall offer.
  • Accent Diamonds & Coloured Gemstones: Smaller accent diamonds, melee, and coloured stones are not factored into purchase offers. If you wish to keep them—whether for a future custom design or as a keepsake—our jewellers can safely remove them and return them to you for a small service fee.
What government identification or documentation do I need to bring?

To sell your gold or silver, you must present a valid, government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms of identification include:

  • A valid driver’s licence
  • A passport
  • A provincial photo ID card

This is a standard legal requirement to ensure proper record-keeping and customer security for all precious metal transactions.
